Why won't Tony Stark call the Avengers in Iron Man 3? Plus the latest on Doctor Who and Game of Thrones! No, Carrie Fisher hasn't actually confirmed she's in Star Wars: Episode VII after all. Shane Black is taking Iron Man right back to his origins. Another Captain America costar might return for a flashback. Sam Mendes is leaving Bond behind... for now. Plus the latest details on Neil Gaiman's Cyberman-centric episode of Doctor Who!

It's nothing but spoilers from here on out!

Star Wars: Episode VII

I think we all knew this was coming, but a representative for Carrie Fisher has clarified to CNN that no, Fisher didn't really confirm her Star Wars return to Palm Beach Illustrated, even though it totally sounded like she did:

"She was joking. Nothing has been announced."

Let's just cut to the chase here, which is that, regardless of whether Fisher was actually joking — and I think we can safely assume she was joking about Leia being "in an intergalactic old folks' home", if nothing else — it's still probably more likely than not that, yeah, she and Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill are going to make some appearance in Episode VII. But until Disney and LucasFilm are damn good and ready to announce that, nothing — even confirmation from the actors themselves — is going to be "official." [CNN]

Iron Man 3

The interviews just keep on rolling out from writer-director Shane Black and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. First up, here's Black explaining how he adapted Warren Ellis's "Extremis" comics story for the film:

In the Extremis comic book, there's a type of thing that takes over and basically upgrades DNA. Sometimes you die. But if you live through the experience then you come out this changed thing. But the way they do it is the guy that does it is not some man chosen to be the super soldier — he's just a militia guy. There's an element of realism to it as well. So what we've tried to do is take this very science-fictiony concept of super people, and ground it in the type of people who volunteer for this being not necessarily super villains, but just people who upgrade.

I love the idea of a super villain that doesn't wear a cape, that doesn't wear a super suit. That goes around dressed as you are right now. As for the science of it, once again we've gone back to the comic books, and I think pretty much lifted the Maya Hensen idea, that she met [Tony] long ago and had the germ of an idea, which now has come to fruition full circle, but she's afraid because it's gotten out there. And we go from there. I think you'll be interested in the effect that we generate to demonstrate what Extremis does to a human being. It's a pretty interesting special effect. But we've deliberately stayed away from defining, ‘Oh it's nanites.' What we do keep from the comic is the idea that there's a slot in the brain that seems to have been dormant, but exists in human beings, almost as though it's waiting for human beings to find a way to fill it. It's been there forever.

Elsewhere, Kevin Feige explains how Iron Man 3 goes right back to the franchise's beginnings:

"In a way, The Avengers liberated us in the development process, because we knew we couldn't go bigger than Avengers. We didn't want to go bigger than Avengers. What are you going to do? Crack the Earth in two, and Iron Man's gonna have to put it together? No, that's not what it's about. We were much more inspired by the first half of the first Iron Man film. We said, ‘Let's put him, metaphorically, back in a cave with a box of scraps and see how he uses his brain to get out of it.' And that's very much in Shane's wheelhouse, taking cinematic tropes and conceits, and spinning them in an unexpected way."

There's more at the link. [IGN]

Finally, Feige explains how the film addresses the fact that Tony Stark could theoretically call the rest of the Avengers for help:

It's a good question, and it's sort of half and half. I am betting that like the comics you don't have to keep – if you are reading a standalone "Iron Man" comic, they don't spend every page explaining where every other Marvel hero is. The audience kind of accepts that there are times when they're on their own and there are times when they are together. I'm betting that movie audiences will feel the same way. That being said, there is a little bit of lip service here and there to that. There is also just the very nature of Tony wants to, once he barely survives that house attack you saw today, and even you saw it in the message he left for Pepper, he's basically saying "I'm going off the grid to try to figure something out."

He also confirms that Tony doesn't yet know that Agent Coulson is alive and well and about to star on S.H.I.E.L.D. [/Film]

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Dominic Cooper says there's a plan in place for him to return as Howard Stark, although it sounds like scheduling might prevent this:

Yeah, they mentioned that, they mentioned it to me. But I don't know how… I'm too busy. I'm trying to film, I'm filming at the moment, everyday, and I'm really trying to make it work but I think I'm stuck in Budapest, so at the moment its really, really tough, like I don't know how I'm going to achieve it.

I don't know how I'm going to get to… yeah, there was talk of it, and now I don't know whether I can, which will be really annoying because I loved being part of those. You know, I think it it was such an incredible time, and I think — you know the first one - they did such an incredible job of it. So, I will try my hardest to get Stark back into a flashback sequence or some description, but its proving rather difficult in terms of scheduling at the moment.

Bond 24

Skyfall director Sam Mendes has announced he won't be back for the next Bond film, though he does say he hopes to be involved with the franchise again in the future:

"It has been a very difficult decision not to accept Michael and Barbara's very generous offer to direct the next Bond movie. Directing Skyfall was one of the best experiences of my professional life, but I have theatre and other commitments, including productions of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and King Lear, that need my complete focus over the next year and beyond. I feel very honoured to have been part of the Bond family and very much hope I have a chance to work with them again sometime in the future."

Doctor Who

Executive producer Caroline Skinner previews the penultimate episode of series seven, the Neil Gaiman-penned "The Last Cybermen":

"One of the things that Neil was initially really excited about was being given one of the classic Doctor Who monsters and being able to bring a new twist and a new way of looking at them. Certainly when we watched them on set they felt very creepy and the redesign of the masks recalls to a certain extent some of the earlier ‘Moonbase'/‘Tomb Of The Cybermen' designs. What Neil's also done in that episode is actually used the notion of being able to write a story about the Doctor in conflict with the Cybermen in a new way, to really make it a huge episode for Matt. It's a brilliant performance, that one. It's interesting what Neil does – he always delivers such wonderful visual sequences, as he did with ‘The Doctor's Wife', but one of his real strengths is that he gets right to the heart of the characters as well. In many ways that episode is as much about Matt's Doctor in conflict with one of the most classic and famous Doctor Who monsters as it is about what the Cybermen look like."

Check out the link for some cryptic thoughts on another episode, "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS." [SFX]

Elsewhere, Skinner offers some general hints about the 50th anniversary special, which is due to start shooting on March 18:

"Marcus Wilson and I spend most of our time saying to one another: ‘Oh, good God, Steven Moffat's imagination is AMBITIOUS.' ‘Wow, we've got a lot of work to do.' ‘And how exactly are we going to do that?' ‘And that?' ‘And, oooh, that?!' But more succinctly, and in just four words: ‘It. Will. Be. Big."

Game of Thrones

Ygritte actress Rose Leslie discusses what to expect from the third season:

I was so happy to be holding a bow and arrow. I was so happy about it because I just thought it embodied Ygritte, as to who she is, being such a fiercely independent character. She's powerful and strong and I felt that a bow and arrow fitted her beautifully… I was able to kind of do some archery lessons before just so I didn't look like a right numpty [Editor's note: British slang for fool] when I was drawing back the bow… just so that I looked a little bit authentic. But it is really cool. Oh, I loved it!

She also discusses two new beyond-the-Wall actors, Rome's Ciarin Hinds as Mance Rayder and the British Office's Mackenzie Crook as Orell:

In Season 2, Mance Rayder — the name at least was certainly built up, wasn't it — to an extent where you were looking forward to finally meeting this character. And he is dominant and he is a leader, and especially from Ygritte's perspective… She has put all her eggs in one basket so to speak, when it comes to Mance Rayder.

What is it about Mance that makes her want to follow him, that she's so devoted to? Is it just because he chose the life of a free person, is he just so charismatic and strong, does he respect her?
I think it's an amalgamation of all those things that you mentioned, actually. He is strong and I feel that the kind of wildling community, because they are harsh and brutal, and of course, that is the environment that they have all been brought up in, you, as a wildling look up to that. And I think with Mance Rayder, because he is a turncloak and because he no longer wants to bend the knee, she has a huge amount of respect for him because she feels that he is now 100 percent on their side.

You have Mackenzie Crook from the original ‘The Office,' and he was in ‘Pirates'… Can you tell us anything about his character, Orell, because I imagine he's very delightful to watch.
Yes! He is absolutely incredible. He's such a lovely, lovely man. But, his character is incredibly different to who he is, obviously, which is a huge accolade to him. But Orell, oh, he's a nasty piece of work. He's vicious and he does not trust Jon Snow and not wanting to give too much away, he's incredibly loyal to who he is and his love of his people… and yeah, he's nasty!

There's still some more at the link. [Access Hollywood]

Elsewhere, Jon Snow actor Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie discuss Kristofer Hivju's work in the upcoming season as the new character Tormund Giantsbane:

Harrington I think you are going to love what he does this season. He brings this wonderful energy and eccentricity to that part [Hivju is playing Tormund Giantsbane]. He was such a joy to work with. I wasn't familiar with his work up onto working on Thrones. I hope to keep in touch with him. He is really, really good. He just is that character. He has got quite a big personality.

Rose Leslie: Yeah, definitely. He just sort of dominates the room.

Once Upon a Time

Here are some tidbits from the recent PaleyFest panel:

1. Snow White is going to go dark after she vows to kill Cora in last week's episode. Ginnifer Goodwin told the Paley crowd. "What she's going through is going to shake her self identity and self definition," she said. "If she's not the Snow White she read about in story books [while] in Storybrooke, then she doesn't know who she is. But I think that does a lot for her. She can get in touch with a more involved way of protecting herself and her family."
2. Episode 17, "Welcome to Storybrooke," will be a flashback to 1983, the first week of the curse. "We're going to get more insight into what it was like that very first week in 1983 and what it was like for the Evil Queen to win and to figure out modern clothing," says [co-creator Edward] Kitsis. This episode, airing March 17, will mark the return of Jamie Dornan as the town's hottie sheriff/The Huntsman.
3. An upcoming Belle-centric episode will explore the character's cursed persona, jokingly called "Racy Lacey" during the panel. "Lacey's very interesting," said Emilie De Ravin. "She's the opposite of Belle," added Kitsis.

Inhuman

The android cop show from J.J. Abrams's Bad Robot production company — which actually isn't called Inhuman anymore, but it's a slightly better placeholder title than "Untitled J.J. Abrams Android Cop Show" — has reportedly assembled its cast. The show "is set in the near future when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids", and it "centers on one such pairing, cop John Kennex and his android partner Dorian (Michael Ealy)." The Unit's Michael Irby has been cast as LAPD Detective Richard Paul, "who blames Kennex for the death of fellow officers in the tragic mission that casts a pall over the department." Mackenzie Crook, who previously appeared in this article in the Game of Thrones item, has reportedly been cast as the eccentric LAPD robotics designer Rudy Lom. [Deadline]

Star Wars: Episode VII

A lengthy, informative Business Week article on the sale of LucasFilm to Disney suggests that Lucas had a bigger hand than previously reported in actually putting together the current Star Wars creative team and developing the stories for Episodes VII through IX:

Lucas and Kennedy hired screenwriter Michael Arndt, who won an Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine, to begin work on the script for Episode VII. They enlisted Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, to act as a consultant. Lucas started talking to members of the original Star Wars cast, such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, about appearing in the films. In June 2012, he called Iger.

Once Lucas got assurances from Disney in writing about the broad outlines of the deal, he agreed to turn over the treatments — but insisted they could only be read by Iger, Horn, and Kevin Mayer, Disney's executive vice president for corporate strategy. "We promised," says Iger. "We had to sign an agreement."

When Iger finally got a look at the treatments, he was elated. "We thought from a storytelling perspective they had a lot of potential," he says.

The Avengers 2

Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige discusses writer-director Joss Whedon's recent comments that the sequel would "go deeper, not bigger":

"I don't know exactly what he meant when he said "deeper". But, similar to Iron Man 3, we're not saying, "Now it's gotta be even bigger and more aliens come and there's a giant monster!" The most exciting thing to us about the Iron Man franchise is Tony Stark and his journey. The most exciting thing to us about the Avengers franchise is the interaction amongst those characters. It's putting them in situations that you wouldn't expect to see them in. It's that kind of fun; and the relationships between the characters in the Avengers, which I loved. Almost whatever the heck else is happening is gravy in that franchise, because all I care about is Bruce and Tony, Tony and Steve, Widow and Bruce – and how Thor fits into it, because he's always the outsider amongst outsiders. So I think that's where the value lies. And going deeper amongst those characters in those relationships."

Doctor Strange

From the same interview, isn't yet ready to commit to a Doctor Strange movie, but he does say that if the cinematic universe is going to get into magic, it'll be through the Sorcerer Supreme:

I'm not looking at Phase One as grounded and Phase Two as cosmic and Phase 3 as magic. The films are all so eclectic and different from each other that you can't overarchingly categorize them like that. If and when we enter the magic arena, it will be through Doctor Strange. Sure, obviously. And that's to me what's exciting about Doctor Strange.

Spoilers from here on out!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Legendary actor Robert Redford confirmed that he would be appearing in the film, although he didn't say what role he would play — one rumor suggests he will play a S.H.I.E.L.D. member named Pierce. He did offer this explanation as to why he was interested in appearing in the movie in the first place:

"I'm doing this film because it's different. It's a new thing for me... I think these films are really powerful. I think they're great. This is the kind of film I would have loved to see as a kid... I like the idea of stepping into new territory. I'm excited by it. I also think it's a good bunch of people who really know what they're doing."

[Los Angeles Times]

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Chronicle star Dane DeHaan discusses his role as Harry Osborn in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man sequel:

I’m interested in it because I love superhero movies. The part is extremely complex and complicated. The people involved are people I really want to work with. It’s just another really great challenge. And I get to make a movie on a scale that I’ve never really made before and experience what that’s like. What I love to do is act, and what I’ve really gotten into lately is making movies. I just want to continue to do that and continue to grow. If those movies happen to have a huge built-in fanbase, that’s a great bonus I suppose.

[IGN]

World War Z

Director Marc Forster says the decision to reshoot the film's ending was, rather than a signal of a production spiraling out of control, actually just what the project needed:

We shot the movie and put it together and we all felt the ending wasn’t what we wanted it to be and could be better. We showed it to the studio, the filmmakers agreed and made a proposal and we went back and did some additional shooting. We are really happy now with the result... It’s a different ending, and I prefer it. I think it’s more powerful and works in the favor of the story... It was really refreshing and a great thing that we actually redid the ending because I never did that with any of my other movies. But I realized a lot of great directors I admire, from Bergman to Felini, they always were shooting, going to the editing room, shooting again. This process back and forth. And that was a really great thing that we were able to do that and the studio allowed us to do that because it made the movie better and that gave us a different reflection of it. When you’re really in it and doing it, sometimes, it gets overwhelming. You might, for a moment, have to take a step back and see how it feels all together.

Doctor Who

Here are two promos for this Saturday's episode, "The Rings of Akhaten," written by Luther creator Neil Cross. [Blogtor Who]

And here are some teasers for the episode:

» A number one hit from 1981 is heard.
» The Doctor likes a particular comic.
» The episode has shades of 'Father's Day' and 'Gridlock'.
» Nice to see a certain relation get a mention.
» You'll see more aliens than you ever have in one single episode of Doctor Who.
» Clara makes a reference to Jenna-Louise Coleman.

I suppose the relation in question has to be the Doctor's granddaughter Susan... though I suppose it could be his daughter Jenny, though I kinda assumed the show had forgotten all about her at this point. [CultBox]

Also, here are some dialogue teasers:

» "If just one of those tiny little things had never happened, I'd never have met you.
» "She's not possible."
» "Life in the universe originated here, on that planet."
» "You're a thousand years old, you must have something you care about."
» "Can you pretend like I'm a space alien and explain?"

Game of Thrones

Showrunner David Benioff discusses the overall structure of season three, especially in terms of how it adapts Storm of Swords:

We always talked about doing the third book in two seasons, but it’s not quite that neat. There’s not a halfway point in the book where all the story lines break. We’re drawing things in from other books and [adding] other plot lines that were implied by the books but not shown. It’s trickier in that sense. We could easily write a show about just, say, Bronn [Jerome Flynn]. The Bronn Show.

Is there a theme this season?
We keep coming back to the idea of rise and fall. So much of season 3 is seeing certain characters achieve greater power and some character characters completely fall from power.

And he and fellow showrunner Dan Weiss discuss what the Lannisters face this season:

Weiss: Coming out of end of the last season the Lannisters, with the help of the Tyrells, had won the war. But just because they’re not fighting with maces and swords doesn’t mean a state of war is not ongoing. The people are still jockeying for position every bit as much as if they were on a battlefield. It’s just war by other means … so there’s the Lannisters we’ve loved and now there’s Natalie Dormer and Diana Rigg as [Margaery Tyrell and Lady Olenna] and the interplay between those families is so fun. You want to see what happens when they get together.

Benioff: There’s a bit more stability because Tywin [Charles Dance] is back. This season everyone knows, with the possible exception of Joffrey [Jack Gleeson], who is really in charge. But there’s still a major civil war going on with various combatants. Last season was about protecting the city from invaders; this season the threats are more internal. So there’s a lot of sniping going on. You would think that winning a major victory at the end of season two the city would come together.

Weiss: But being at the top just means you’re everybody else’s target.

Episode eight will reportedly be called "Second Sons." [SpoilerTV]

Emilia Clarke hints at Danaerys Targaryen's journey this season:

"She hits the ground running, lets put it that way. Season two was so much about trust and she learned she couldn't trust many people. Season three is her trusting herself and not trusting other people. She has to prove to herself and others that she knows what she's doing. She starts the season with nothing - just the dragons. It's a huge test this season to get the army. It's what she always should have had, basically."

Meanwhile, the familial bond between Miles (Billy Burke) and Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) grows stronger. Being Human (US)

Here's a sneak peek at the first four minutes of tonight's episode, "Always a Bridesmaid, Never Alive."

Star Meagan Rath previews the final two episodes of season three:

"Things are coming to a head right now, especially for Sally. She's made this decision that she's going to let herself die and decompose, and next week's episode, that does happen, and she goes through Donna's door and faces her, so there's a big showdown. More people are involved than you think will be. A lot of people are involved."

Costar Amy Aquino also hints at what's ahead for her character Donna:

"[I]t doesn't necessarily turn out all that well for me. In this upcoming episode, you get a little inkling about my past. We give you a little bit of my résumé, which is kind of great, goes back to some really iconic witches. I come from some very good witch stock, well educated, et cetera. …You don't get to see it so much, but you're definitely going to hear about it in the episode that's coming up."

[Examiner]

And Rath explains how this season's endgame builds on themes explored throughout the show's run:

"For the last two years, we've seen these characters strive so hard to just retain a sense of the life that they've lost and they've wanted so bad just to fit in and this season they've gotten what they wanted, and I think we're kind of realizing that we're in for more than we bargained for. I think that to have the life that we really want comes at a big price, and it's kind of tragic because I don't know that these people will ever be happy in the way that they once were when they were human, and that's really what drives them, but I don't know that it's possible for them."

Star Trek Into Darkness

Co-writer Roberto Orci discusses Benedict Cumberbatch's villain John Harrison and how the character relates to the movie's title:

Well he understands Starfleet because he was enlisted in a similar way. Some might see part of the title coming from the fact that he's kind of a dark shadow of members of our crew. He too has gone through the [Starfleet training] process to some degree, that some of our crew have gone through, and clearly for some reason it's failed to bring him over, so I think he represents that part of our heroes... [It's] not just as simple as it being a terrorist allegory – it's a flavor of the movie, it's an element, but it's certainly not at the center of its plot. It does speak to the fact that we wanted to embed in our universe events that are recognizable to an audience.

And fellow writer Alex Kurtzman offers this assurance that the film, for all its titular darkness, will still be true to Gene Roddenberry's original vision:

The thing that's been interesting to us is that, despite the fact that we are literally going Into Darkness, I think we all worked very hard to make sure the theme of hope, what hope costs, and what it's really about, was always alive in how we were designing our story. So we're pretty consistent with the last movie in terms of dark things happening, but holding on to the light that Roddenberry set up as a basic tenet of the Star Trek universe.

Primer writer-director Shane Carruth explains how he created the entirely practical special effects for his latest low-budget, high-concept film:

It's all practical, there's no computer generated anything in this at all, not even the end credits.

Really? That's amazing. So how do you go about doing stuff like that? You have cameras that go inside the body so did you have people you knew who could do stuff like that?
I mean, I started shooting some stuff while I was writing, some of the microscopic stuff, the little blue spheres that would balloon up. I started doing a lot of time lapse while I was writing. I mean, I did hours and hours and hours worth of this stuff just to see if I could get it because I had an idea of what I needed it to look like. I would do that and do that and do that until I could get it. Then, we started to just develop the here's what this world looks like. Here's where you go in, here's what it looks like. It's Tom Walker, the production designer, was able to put together all sorts of wonderful things. It wound up being a back room in a house that I was renting in Dallas, and we had everything in there from chicken breasts and red dye and ground beef and we tried lots of things with the worms, bits of rope or nylon tied in knots and pulled through latex before eventually giving up and saying, "Let's just go to the store and buy some night crawlers and do this." Yeah, it was just a ton, a ton, a ton of trial and error. Nobody-Tom, not me not anybody had really any experience with how to do this, except for the bits where we can see the worm crawling under Amy's skin. That was actually someone who's a makeup artist and he had some experience with how to do stuff like that, yeah.

G.I. Joe 3

Since G.I. Joe: Retaliation has proven a decent hit at the box office, a third film has officially been announced. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura hints at what to expect:

"We haven’t spent any time considering what the next movie is. There are elements we’re really excited about. I’d like to do more ninja story. That’s really fun, and I think the mythology will support some really cool things. You know, I was a really huge fan of the TV show Combat! as a kid, and there’s an intimacy the show had because their budget demanded it — it’s always a bunch of guys and they’re going down a ditch. I’d like us to do some of that kind of stuff where you’re really on an intimate level. ‘Surprising’ isn’t the right word, but ‘gratifying’ how Dwayne and Channing’s ‘home scenes’, if you would, they’re not buddy scenes but they translated that way somehow. So they’re basic character scenes, and they’re domesticated scenes. How well that played in the scale of what we’re trying to do. I’d like to see more of that."

Doctor Who

The readthrough for the 50th anniversary special was yesterday, and here's a photo of Matt Smith and David Tennant together to prove it.

Unless the BBC is doing a phenomenal job of keeping secrets, there probably weren't any other previous Doctors in attendance, which in turn suggests that the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors are the only ones with major roles in the special. This still doesn't totally rule out cameos by the earlier Doctors, but it's looking less and less likely. Anyway, moving to more substantial casting news, here's a second photo the BBC released, which reveals Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page will also be appearing in the special. [Doctor Who News]

Game of Thrones

Here's a pair of promos for this Sunday's episode and the second of the season, "Dark Wings, Dark Words." [Coming Soon]

The Walking Dead

Comics creator Robert Kirkman looks ahead to season four, starting with why the main characters remain at the prison:

That's something we'll definitely be dealing with in season 4. But just off the top of my head I would say that, knowing the Governor is still out there, and knowing he knows Woodbury like the back of his hand, it would probably be not too safe to set up shop in his hometown. But it's possible that that's something we're exploring next season.

So is the Governor now just governing Martinez?
Yeah. They've got a tree fort somewhere and he's making few new rules. It's a new place called New Woodbury. "Come here! Live with us! You're safe!"

How worried should we be about Carl?
Very worried! Growing up in this world is not doing that guy a lot of good and it's taking him to some very dark and interesting places and I think, coming back for season 4, Rick's going to have a hard time reeling that guy in and trying to find a shred of that kid's humanity and bringing it to the forefront. Because that guy's taken a dark turn.

[EW]

It's now been confirmed that David Morrissey will return as a series regular next season, so the Governor probably isn't going anywhere for a little while yet. [EW]

And elsewhere, Kirkman discusses the Governor's return:

That question will be answered [in] Season 4. We always had a plan for this guy. We always knew that it was a bigger story than would fit into one season. There's still a lot more to be done with this guy. We've known from the very first minute of Season 3 that we would be keeping the Governor around for a while.

Will the prison remain the primary set piece in Season 4?
There's always going to be new locations and new places to discover and explore. I don't want to reveal toomuch; Season 4 is still five months away. But I will say that as we see at the end of Season 3 we're definitely going to start Season 4 at the prison. We may be there the whole season and we may not be… But there are going to be some big differences from Season 3.

Teen Wolf

Creator Jeff Davis previews what's ahead for various characters in the upcoming third season, starting with Scott:

What I like about Scott is that he was kind of a misfit teenager who makes a lot of clueless bad choices in the first season, and we've gradually grown him up and he's becoming a man and a leader. That's the great thing about writing for television - you can see characters grow in vast ways and much more complete ways than in movies sometimes. So it's interesting to see him as a character grow ,and he's going to be a leader. The idea is going to be whether or not Scott is going to become an Alpha in his own right some day.

He also talks about Derek and Stiles:

[Derek's] character changes quite a bit this season, becomes a different person. You might see a kinder, gentler Derek coming about and that has a lot to do with Scott's influence. So it'll be interesting to see where he ends up at the end of the season... We're going to see Stiles basically branch out and move on from his crush with Lydia. He's decided it's over and he's going to be a man now and move on and not pine after a girl who will barely give him the time of day... let's just say that romance isn't easy for him this season.

Yeah, I know it's an awfully big room, and we obviously didn't see Billie Piper or John Hurt in the photograph, which doesn't suddenly mean they won't be in it. I'd just have figured that there would have been rumors or reported sightings or *something* to indicate other big names were also in the room. It's more the absence of leaks than the absence of announcements that makes me think the special will focus primarily on 10/11. But hey, I'll happily be proven wrong, and if I haven't made it 100% clear, this is just educated guesswork on my part.

I'm not really sure you can consider Rose's return a secret, considering her return was teased throughout series 4. I don't remember whether word of her return leaked before her cameo in Partners in Crime, but I seem to recall not being all that surprised by her sudden appearance.

Jenna-Louise Coleman, on the other hand, was a perfectly kept secret, though I do suspect that was successful because Coleman wasn't a big enough name for the British press to find it worth spoiling. If "Asylum" had featured a super-secret guest appearance by David Tennant or another former Doctor, I suspect we would have heard about it beforehand.

I have zero doubt that we'll at least see footage of the earlier Doctors — they'll be acknowledged in some way. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a brief scene in which 10 and 11 meet a bunch of earlier Doctors. Beyond that though... eh, much as I would love to see earlier Doctors appear, Doctors 4-8 are getting their own anniversary special anyway, and arguably in a format that better suits them these days: http://bigfinish.com/releases/v/the...

Fair enough — I still have this vague memory that it was known she was coming back even before she popped up in PiC, but that may be incorrect.

My point, if I ever had one, is that Doctor Who generally struggles to keep really huge stuff secret. That's why I'm skeptical any other Doctors were at yesterday's read-through or indeed will play a significant role in the special, but hey, I could be wrong.

Star Trek Into Darkness

Here's a new TV spot.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Acting legend Robert Redford talks some more about his role in the sequel, revealing that he will be playing the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.:

"Well, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. The head of S.H.I.E.L.D.... The Captain America thing is just a very simple thing," he continued. "I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something just to be different. Something bold, different. And that felt like a good thing to do. That was it, nothing more to it than that. Well, it's bold in terms of expectations, I guess. "

Filming has reportedly begun, although don't expect any set photos just yet — production is underway inside Marvel's Manhattan Beach Studios in Los Angeles. [On Location Vacations]

Iron Man 3

The Avengers 2

Joss Whedon's Avengers sequel will reportedly be at least partially shot in Britain's Pinewood-Shepperton Studios in early 2014. [ScreenDaily]

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Professor X actor James McAvoy goes back to his conscious decision in First Class to play the young Charles Xavier as very different from Patrick Stewart's older, sage-like interpretation, and he says he also won't be moving closer to Stewart's performance in the sequel:

No. Not yet. I think that may come. I mean, who knows? Who knows where it's going to go? That may come in the third movie but definitely not in this movie. We're not in the same place that we were in the first movie with Charles — a very different place from there. But we're also still on a very different place from where Patrick was in the other movies.

The third movie to which he refers isn't officially announced — and it likely won't be until around when Days of Future Past premieres at the earliest — but it's another indication of longer-term planning for the franchise. [The Huffington Post]

Pacific Rim 2

Guillermo del Toro offers this update on his and Travis Beacham's planned sequel to his upcoming monster epic:

We pitched a pretty good outline to Legendary several weeks ago, and they loved it, so Travis and I, as soon as we land this monster (no pun intended) into the screen, we will start actively working on the script. The outline was basically approved.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Fight Club and The Social Network director David Fincher's long-planned Jules Verne adaptation appears to be officially happening, thanks to a sweet deal offered by the Australian government to film the movie in their country. Here's an excerpt of their announcement:

Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Arts Minister Tony Burke today announced The Walt Disney Studios film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea will join a growing list of blockbuster productions filmed in Australia. While casting decisions are still to be made and locations are yet to be finalised, the filming of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea will give Australian talent the opportunity to work with some of the best screen professionals in the business – both in front of the cameras and behind the scenes.

Ninja Turtles

Arrested Development actor Will Arnett has reportedly joined the cast of the Michael Bay-produced film. It's not known what role he is playing, but it will reportedly not be Casey Jones. Transformers actress Megan Fox has already been announced for the part of April O'Neil, while Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher are playing the motion-captured turtles. [Heat Vision]

The Infinity Principle

Summit Entertainment has reportedly bought a pitch from Grace of Monaco and I Am Legend 2 screenwriter Amash Amel. The sci-fi project is reportedly about "a physicist who, after discovering the secret of time travel, accidentally causes the fabric of the universe to come apart." [Coming Soon]

Doctor Who

The BBC tweeted an official set photo revealing which monster will return for the 50th anniversary special. Thirty-eight years after their first appearance, the Zygons are back. This doesn't necessarily mean that the Zygons will be the bad guys in the special — a more powerful adversary could still be revealed — but it's pretty great to see them again. [@BBCDoctorWho]

And here are the first, rather blurry set photos from the filming of the 50th anniversary special. Matt Smith and David Tennant were reportedly both on set, though the photos don't show much just yet. Still, for those worried that Tennant will be playing the 10th Doctor's clone from "Journey's End" as opposed to the actual 10th Doctor, here's some good news: one of the photos shows what appears to be the 10th Doctor's TARDIS. That's maybe not definitive proof, but it's a decently good sign that the real 10th Doctor is going to show up. Check out the rest here. [Life, Doctor Who, and Combom]

Meanwhile, let's go back to the episodes that are actually airing right now, with this video that reintroduces us to Matt Smith's Doctor.

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Star Clark Gregg says the upcoming TV show won't explicitly reveal how Agent Coulson survived his apparent death in The Avengers:

"After people see the show, they'll have some clue as to why I'm still there, still breathing. But I don't think they'll know everything...

He also discusses his possible return in subsequent Marvel films:

"Joss is right over there. That's a really good question. I want to go ask him. I don't know. If my schedule doesn't conflict, and they need him in one of the movies, will they come calling? My feeling is that there's no breaks in continuity with this and the Marvel movie universe. It makes sense in that universe, and I certainly feel like his chances of appearing in those movies are far better than when he was far out dead."

And here are his thoughts on Agent Coulson in general, and why he signed on to resurrect the character for the show:

"I signed a multi-year deal for Agent Coulson when it was just three lines. It just turned into something more. It's always a little nerve-wracking because it's not something you're used to. We have designed obsolescence, we actors. At the same time, the relationship between Agent Coulson and the fans is moving to me, and I don't think it comes along very often, and I've been doing this a while. And some of this stuff is happening to me when I'm not in my 20s, not by a long shot. Once I knew that Joss and his brother Jed and Maurissa, his wife, were involved, and I saw the script, and thought, "This is what it's going to be like," then there's nothing else I'd rather be doing."

[Collider via Comic Book Movie]

The Walking Dead

Here's a video that looks ahead to season four.

The show is reportedly casting a new regular character named Roy Stark, who is described as "a former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past — pre- and post-zombie apocalypse... [and] as a result, he's a bit of a loner, although he maintains a charming/self-deprecating/confident public face. [TV Line]

Comics creator Robert Kirkman previews the fourth season, starting with the return of David Morrissey's Governor:

Yeah, he’s still very much in the mix. That’s certainly not the last that we’ll see of him. When we see him again and where we see him again, that’s the big question. It’s not going to be like it was in Season 3; it’s not going to be Rick and the Governor on a collision course with a conflict between them. He’ll be used in very different ways next season.

Carl and Rick seemed to have almost switched roles to some degree, with Carl being incredibly cold and Rick finding a sense of optimism to some degree. How does that inform their relationship from this point forward?
Rick has had a success. The people at the prison have survived this conflict with the Governor, he brought people from Woodbury into the prison, and he’s kind of had this big win. He’s had this moment where he’s brought people together and he’s doing good things. But he’s had this tremendous loss in that Carl has lost this piece of his humanity. This has been Rick’s main mission throughout the show, to protect his family. We’ve seen two very big failures on that front this season. Moving into next season, we’re going to see a very different Rick, but one of his main goals is to manage this situation with Carl and see if he can bring him back from this darkness that’s crept into him. Whether or not he’s able to do that, we’ll have to see. But this is a big change in the character of Carl, but it’s something that’s going to be weighing heavily on Rick next season.

Kirkman offers this general teaser for the upcoming season:

I’ll say that there are a lot of familiar elements that are remaining. Michonne is still around, Rick and his group are still in the prison, the Governor’s still out there… so there are a lot of things that are carrying over from Season 3 to Season 4, but I can’t stress how different things are going to be. There are going to be some radical changes to those elements that are going to bring in a lot of new storytelling. While [Season 4] does seem somewhat familiar, it’s going to be vastly different from Season 3.

I did remember the whole clone TARDIS issue — indeed, I was fairly certain this point would be brought up. As has been pointed out, that was a deleted scene, so I don't think it counts, especially since Russell T. Davies later commented that he was glad it didn't make it in; I'd say it's not intended to "count" at this point, so the clone Doctor doesn't have a TARDIS. But I threw in the line about this TARDIS not being definitive proof as a sort of catch-all acknowledgment.

But really, I just don't see why Steven Moffat would ever use the clone when it's already clearly established that multiple Doctors can meet. It'd essentially be using a knock-off character when the real thing is freely available.

Admittedly, my opinion is somewhat colored by the fact that I really, really dislike "Journey's End." But that's a whole other matter.

I was going off a comment in another thread — my apologies for the only cursory research. To be honest, it seems as though Davies has said a couple, contradictory things about this scene, as this comes (sourced) from the Wikipedia page: "This [scene] was removed in the last edit of the episode, but was ultimately cut because the production team felt it made the Bad Wolf Bay scene 'too long and complicated' and that producing another TARDIS should not be seen to be so easy." (Emphasis mine.)

Anyway, the point is that the clone Doctor likely doesn't have a TARDIS based on the transmitted version of "Journey's End." Whether that scene "happened" or not is a matter of some debate, but I'd say the balance of evidence currently suggests that it didn't.

I feel like the film stock is something to consider here — the new Zygon costume may work better in the HD (and 3D) cameras being used for the special, whereas the graininess of 70s DW may be more forgiving on the original costumes. Since this is an officially released set photo, I suppose it's fair to pass some preliminary judgment, but I'd still like to see how the finished product looks.

Eh, I think there's a fairly well-established convention that deleted scenes don't "count" for a show's larger continuity; "transmitted" isn't really the key word there. Heck, if they had put an extended version of the episode on the DVD that included the scene, then I'd be inclined to count it as part of Doctor Who continuity. But whatever Davies's subsequent thoughts, the creative team as a whole ultimately didn't intend the scene to be part of the finished episode. I'd say it's closer to something cut out of the script during the drafting process than it is the DVD minisodes.

A shocking possible title and intriguing description for Doctor Who's top-secret season finale!

Doctor Who

Stars Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman offer this introduction to Saturday's episode, "The Rings of Akhaten," written by Luther creator Neil Cross. [Life, Doctor Who, and Combom]

BBC South Africa has revealed these short, presumably accurate synopses for the final four episodes of the season. Notably, this offers our first real insight into what to expect from Steven Moffat's season finale:

JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE TARDIS
The TARDIS has crashed, Clara is lost inside, and the Doctor has 30 minutes before his ship explodes!

THE CRIMSON HORROR
Something ghastly is afoot in Victorian Yorkshire, as bodies are found with their skin a waxy, glowing red.

NIGHTMARE IN SILVER
Hedgewick's World of Wonders: the perfect theme park day out - and ground zero for a deadly silver resurrection.

UNTITLED FINALE
Someone is kidnapping the Doctor's friends, leading him towards the one place in all of time and space that he should never go.

The obvious place that the Doctor should never go is Trenzalore, which according to "The Wedding Of River Song" will be the site of "The Fall of the Eleventh," and "Silence must fall when the question is asked," and so on and so forth. And while a trip there is certainly possible, considering each of the two previous season finales have represented progressions in the Silence and River Song storyline, it does kind of seem like one would save "The Fall of the Eleventh" for Matt Smith's regeneration story. So it could be somewhere else, possibly even somewhere that we won't actually learn about until later this season. [Blogtor Who]

Meanwhile, there's also a somewhat old rumor that the title of the finale is "The Funeral of River Song," which would match up nicely with last year's "The Wedding of River Song"... though of course River dies way back in her first appearance in "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead," so make of that what you will. There are a couple supposed insider sources that passed along the title, but even the original report stresses it's unconfirmed. [Bleeding Cool]

The Walking Dead

Chad L. Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Emily Kinney, who play Tyreese, Sasha, and Beth on the show, have all reportedly been promoted to series regular status for season four. [TV Line]

Revolution

Star Billy Burke discusses what's ahead for Miles in the rest of the season:

As Monroe starts to sink further and further into the abyss, and Charlie basically takes on all the characteristics of Miles that he would never want to see in her, especially, let alone anybody else, he starts to reveal some things about himself that he would never have even admitted to, and he starts to realize that there's more to care about than himself. He's just a selfish bastard, but he starts to realize that these annoying fucking people that he's been hanging around with for so long, he actually does start to care about them. So, we'll start to see that more and more.

What's he going to do with Nora and Rachel?
Well, it gets dicey, you know? People have emotions and things that happen, along the dusty path that we're on. And people have got to make babies in the future. He's just really following his instinct and, at this point, trying not to destroy more than he builds.

What can you say about the evolution of Charlie and Miles' relationship?
Well, Miles doesn't have any kids of his own, that he knows about, so when this little brat comes along and snivels her way into his life, he wants no part of it. Now, he's looking over his shoulder, every moment, for where she is. Does he want to be doing that? No, he doesn't, but he can't help it now. And then, he starts to almost enjoy seeing her evolve and become this little warrior. But, as that starts to grow and build, and she starts to get deeper and deeper into that, she starts to become all those things that he would never have wanted her to be, and all the things about himself that he would just as soon deny. So, it gets real dicey and interesting there.

Arrow

Celina Jade discusses her character Shado's relationships with fellow islanders Slade Wilson and Oliver Queen:

It's actually a really cool dynamic. I think Shado sees herself as an equal to Slade. There's a little bit of his alpha male status creating a competitiveness between them. In terms of Oliver, she is the first person to really say, "You're not a loser. You might have some funky hair, but I really believe you have a lot of potential and that you can become a fighter. You can find the strength within you to get through these times on the island so we can get out of here." She has a different methodology than Slade does, because Slade's way is more normal. "Toughen up. This is how you fight. You've got to be quick if you want to survive." But her methodology is that she's a mentor, but the way she teaches him martial arts and archery is more of a philosophy as opposed to just technical stuff. I like to think of her more like Mister Miyagi in "The Karate Kid."

[Comic Book Resources]

Being Human (US)

Here are a couple excerpts from a recent conference call, in which star Meagan Rath discusses what to expect from the end of the season:

Well I mean I think it's pretty obvious to everybody that things are coming to a head right now, especially for Sally. She's made this decision that she's going to let herself die and decompose. And next week's episode — I don't know if you've seen it — but that does happen. And she's forced to go through Donna's door and face her. So there's a big showdown. And more people are involved than you think.

I want to know also like if we're going to get more human touches. Right now it's been lost of different aspects of like paranormal-ish scary side of things. Are we going to get some normalcy coming back?
Yes, as we're getting to the end of the season this show is a supernatural show. So it's - all our fixed plot points are coming to a head. But, you know, I'm just going to - I think we see this in the preview. But next week is Josh and Nora's wedding. So that's really for Josh the closest to normal it's going to get for him and that's the reason he wanted to marry Nora in the first place. So it's a really beautiful symbol that we do get into next week.

[SpoilerTV]

Teen Wolf

Dylan O'Brien — who plays Stiles, as though any of us didn't know that already — discusses what to expect from season three:

I could tell you that it's bigger in terms of cast, obviously, there's a lot more characters introduced, a lot more wolves, new pack coming into town and you don't really know their motives, the history of it all. It all has to do with all the characters we've come to know in the first two seasons. And we kind of start finding out a little bit more about that background of the Deaton world and how they came to be involved, how the Argents and the wolves came to be in a battle, a war. They had some treaty in place. You start finding out the background of this whole world a little more this season which I don't think we've touched on much the first couple of seasons, so that's something that I've totally dug this year, just in reading the scripts, I'm like, oh, okay! That's why that guy does that.

He also reveals how Stiles deals with the difficulties he faced at the end of the second season:

We pick up four months from that point, but yeah, that was definitely a boiling point where he hit a couple of walls, one with his dad, it was the first time he'd really been physically harmed in one of these circumstances, essentially, where it's the kind of danger - it just becomes more real at that point, I think. He's obviously known that this whole thing is dangerous for him to be involved in but he gets used to it, in a sense, and then when he gets hurt, that's jarring. With Lydia, too, that just never seems to work out and that sucks! And then yeah, with his dad, he's struggled with that and it just keeps getting worse and worse as things just escalate for his dad, for him, for everything, and they're both always involved directly. And he can't tell him and he doesn't know if he tells him, would it put him in danger, would it make him more safe? It's just a struggle. So yeah, coming into season three, he kind of wants to take more ownership of himself in all of it and protect the ones he loves, and that includes Lydia, even though he's kind of putting that on hold ‘cause it hasn't really worked out for him. He's more just focused on saving everybody, protecting everybody, being that detective, that guy - his dad, essentially, is what we're seeing him kind of become.

There's another report out about how Benedict Cumberbatch's villain in Star Trek Into Darkness isn't who you think it is... and by that, I mean he's exactly who you think he is. Guillermo del Toro dreams of Pacific Rim's robots taking on Godzilla. Looper's Rian Johnson is going cyberpunk. Aaron Eckhart discusses his post-apocalyptic monster movie I, Frankenstein. Plus a crazy new dinosaur for Jurassic Park 4. Spoilers from here on out!

Star Trek Into Darkness

Another "trusted source" is claiming that Benedict Cumberbatch's character isn't really named John Harrison, and that's just an alias for Khan Noonien Singh. Since we've been through this what feels like a billion times already, there isn't much more to add, although this new report does mention that the movie "alludes to the famous reactor scene [in Wrath of Khan but] puts a reverse spin on it," which was something people already picked up on from one of the scenes in the trailers. So, yeah, the preponderance of evidence might be shifting again to Cumberbatch being Khan, even if I'm still holding out hope that he's an original character. [Trek Movie]

Iron Man 3

Marvel has posted an extensive interview with The Town's Rebecca Hall. Let's go to the highlights:

I play a character called Maya Hansen who is an incredibly smart scientist who has developed some very cutting-edge technology, which is one of the principal components that drive the story. She is involved in the whole Iron Man world because she met Tony Stark a long time ago when she was an M.I.T. student being funded to do research in a certain field that he's also a specialist in.

Can you explain Extremis and how the technology is used in the film?
Extremis is a formula that my character Maya Hansen has developed that essentially reprograms your genetic code so that you can re-grow your body to be however you want it to be, essentially so you can become super human. But it's got some issues and problems.

She also discusses how her character encounters other key players in the film, including Robert Downey, Jr.'s Tony Stark and Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian:

The flashback scene where Maya and Tony meet is on New Year's Eve 1999 at a science conference. Maya Hansen, Tony Stark and Happy Hogan all end up in Maya's hotel room, which was a very funny scene. We had a fun time shooting it because it was funny on the page, but somehow the three of us started getting more and more ridiculous with it and got a lot of jokes out of it. There's a lot of fun to be had in doing something set in 1999 too. You kind of think, "Oh, it's not that long ago. How period can it get?" And you realize actually that the haircuts were really specific and there are certain cultural references that you can really milk like Jon Favreau dressed up like John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction." It's kind of great.

Explain the relationship between Killian and Maya and how that plays out throughout the film.
Maya is discovered by Killian because she's one of the most intelligent and brightest biochemical scientists in the world, so she gets recruited by him. By this point, she's already well on the way to creating what she thinks is going to be the single most revolutionary discovery of mankind because it will essentially cure human beings of all illness, but she needs the funding to complete it. So she sells it to the highest bidder, who is Killian, and he funds her research.

And finally, she explains she isn't really part of a love triangle with Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts:

The thing I really like about this storyline is that everyone assumes, "Oh, this is going to be some sort of love triangle, and it's going to be some massive cat fight between Pepper and Maya," and it was never that on the page. Instead, they did what the Iron Man franchise has nearly always done, which is sort of subvert expectations and stereotypes and actually made it about two very smart women who understand this rather eccentric figure, Tony Stark. There is a sort of bonding that happens between them because of that, and they are very funny about it. It's not at all what you expect, which I think is much more true to life and was refreshing, frankly.

Pacific Rim

Director Guillermo del Toro says he would love to see his huge new monster-fighting franchise crossover with the granddaddy of all huge monster-fighting franchises:

So far with the sequel, what we're writing, what we're creating, is very different, so there are no plans. Hypothetically, I would love the fuck out of it. I would love to see a jaeger and Godzilla duke it out. That would be too much for the human brain. But I don't think there are plans on that. I don't even know what direction they're taking Godzilla in. I know somewhat that it's grounded differently. Pacific Rim, my aspiration was, the color, the saturation of color, was almost an acid-drip version of the Heavy Metal coloring that I loved when Richard Corben was working there, when [Jean-Claude] Forest was working there. Super bright, super saturated, the crazy color and aesthetic. And Godzilla is more realistic, somewhat. That's my thinking. That's what I've heard. I don't even know which way they're going.

I, Frankenstein

The Dark Knight star Aaron Eckhart discusses his role as a demon-fighting, post-apocalyptic version of Mary Shelley's monster:

I do have a movie coming out called I, Frankenstein where I play the monster Frankenstein, which I think is quite exciting. It's the monster Frankenstein in the modern age; he's looking for his soul, for love and his place in life and he uses kali stick fighting to do it [laughs]. It's a movie about good and evil, gargoyles, demons and it's something you've never seen before. It's going to be interesting.

You can check out the full video interview with Eckhart below. [Comic Book Movie]

Ninja Turtles

The movie has reportedly started filming at a set in Wantagh, New York. The film is being made under the production title Foursquare and is currently seeking "beautiful female models" to act as extras, so yeah, this is very definitely a Michael Bay-produced movie. [On Location Vacations]

This Is The End

Here's the latest trailer for Seth Rogen and James Franco's apocalyptic, star-stuffed comedy.

Doctor Who

Here's a pair of clips from tomorrow's episode, "The Rings of Akhaten." [Life, Doctor Who, and Combom]

A bunch of set photos have been taken from the filming of the 50th anniversary special, and they seem to depict a scene featuring David Tennant's Tenth Doctor, a Zygon, and Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page in Elizabethan dress — indeed, most likely playing Elizabeth I, who married Tennant's Doctor — in the middle of a field. The presence of Elizabeth I is intriguing, not only because it fills in a previously unseen gap in the Tenth Doctor's life, but also because it suggests the events of the 50th anniversary special happen towards the end of the Tenth Doctor's life, well after he traveled with Rose Tyler. That raises some questions about how Billie Piper fits into the special — there's a bunch of fandom rumors going around about her appearing with Christopher Eccleston's Ninth Doctor, but I'd advise not believing that until we see it... and even then, maybe don't believe it, just to be on the safe side. Anyway, both Doctors' TARDISes have also been spotted on set. To see some of the photos, check out the link. [Wales Online]
