Thor: The Dark World

Marvel Studios has released this official description. While it doesn't reveal too much, it does confirm just who is in this movie — for instance, I think this is technically the first direct confirmation that Christopher Eccleston is definitely in this, although of course that's been an open secret for a while now. Anyway, for your reading pleasure:

Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, "Thor: The Dark World" is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel's classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book "Journey into Mystery" #83 in August, 1962.

The Walking Dead

Here's an interview video with the whole cast, in which they discuss what's ahead for their characters this season. [TV Line]

Comics creator Robert Kirkman discusses the casting of David Morrissey as the Governor, and why his look might evolve into something more closely resembling that of his comics counterpart:

"We are accentuating the politician nature of the character, he's more the silver-tongued devil... You know, Morrissey was the right actor for the job, and to a certain extent, you can't say, "You wear a handlebar mustache!" I mean, you kind of can, but… to a certain extent, it's kind of like, is it really necessary? Now, I will say that the Governor's look is possibly going to evolve to a certain extent. I don't wanna spoil anything, but he may eventually look like the comic book Governor..."

Person of Interest

Continuing his bold campaign to be genre TV's most omnipresent character actor, Lost and Supernatural alum will appear on an upcoming Person of Interest episode as a publishing magnate. Now he only needs to find some way to sneak into the final season of Fringe and he can officially challenge Mark Sheppard for his genre actor quickening, if my vague memory of the Highlander franchise is correct, which I assure you it is. Revolution

Creator Eric Kripke discusses Grace's return appearance in the seventh episode:

"We see who Randall is, this person who kidnapped her in episode two, and we get to learn more about him. We start to expand it because she is under duress with this character, Randall. She's in a dangerous position right now. In the second half of the season, Grace and Randall and what's happening with their storyline begins to play a huge, huge part in the main storyline of the show."

Here's a sneak peek at this Thursday's episode.

Beauty and the Beast

Here's a preview for this Thursday's episode, "Proceed with Caution." [CW TV]

Beast actor Jay Ryan — you know, the handsome dude with a small scar on his cheek, thus proving his beastliness — discusses the possibility that there are more handsome people out there running around with minor, beast-indicating scars:

I love that idea. Gary Fleder, who's the original director of our pilot and who's a great director, was also an EP on the other Beauty and the Beast pilot that was being made. He shot these amazing scenes on this little 5D camera, that were flashbacks of Vincent getting the steroids and the DNA stuck into him, along with the other soldiers. There was one female, in that line of soldiers, so he mentioned that maybe there will be a female beast that comes along, who had also gotten away. I pitched it to the writers, and I think they like the idea. If it's in this season, who knows. I hope so. If it's in the second season, if we get there, then it gives them somewhere else to go. But, I think there are more beasts out there. I also think there's a lot more to Vincent that he's not telling Catherine, or anyone else, about what went on and about other beasts. But, for now, there's just one beast.
